Why You Should Keep Moving


As we all move into self-isolation it is crucial that you don’t stop moving. Here at Northern Performing Arts, we will be sending over videos taught by Miss Naomi specific to each class.


We urge our students and parents to get involved with these videos to keep an active and healthy mind and body. We want you to keep singing, dancing and moving!


MindWise shared a report on the correlation between dancing and mental health improvements, they found that dancing helps to boost individuals of all ages mood for prolonged periods of time. We want to ensure that self-isolation runs as smoothly as possible within the NPA community so we want to provide you with regular video content to allow you to keep moving.


Not only is this a way to relieve stress and tension, but it allows you to maintain social communications with staff, and improve our student's physical development!


MindWise claimed that dance “could potentially contribute to sustained new healthy habits”, which is perfect to continue structure and routine within your household.


So we want to see you all get involved, don’t forget to follow on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok for weekly challenges where all participants gain a rainbow reward and one lucky winner will be awarded the main prize!
